MEDICAL PROFESSIONALS GIVEN GRANTS BY KCI TO ATTEND INTERNATIONAL PROFESSIONAL CONFERENCES ABROAD
Dr. Ayo Shonibare, F.R.C.S
A consultant urologist and transplant surgeon with over 20 years experience in the medical field. Dr. Shonibare has worked in several places both within and outside Nigeria. He joined Saint Nicholas Hospital in 1993 as a consultant surgeon/urologist and became the medical director in 1995,a position which he held till 1999 when he left to set up his own urological center (Vantage Medical Center). He was a key member of the team that performed the first live Kidney Transplantation in the entire West African region in March 2000 and he has since performed several successful cases. A professional member of British Transplantation Society, British Association of Urological Surgeons, American Society of Nephrology and Nigerian Association of Nephrology. He is currently the Chief Medical Director of Vantage Medical Center and a consultant to many other hospitals including St. Nicholas Hospital and Cardiac Center.
Dr. Oluseyi Oniyangi, FWACP
A 1986 graduate of the Medical College of Ahmadu Bello University. She is currently a Pediatrician at the National Hospital Abuja Nigeria with particular interest in children with kidney diseases.
Dr. M. O. Mabayoje
Dr. Mabayoje received a grant to attend the 3rd World Congress of Nephrology held in Singapore from 26 – 30 June 2005. She is a senior lecturer in the Department of Medicine, College of Medicine, University of Lagos and she is currently the Head of the Renal Unit in the College.
Dr. C. O. Amira
She also received a grant to attend the 3rd World Congress of Nephrology held in Singapore from 26 – 30 June 2005. Dr. Amira was a trainee of the International Society of Nephrology in South Africa between July 2003 and November 2004. She has attended numerous training programmes.She was also sponsored to attend World Congress of Nephrology in Rio de Jenairo, Brazil, 2007. She is a Consultant physician and nephrologist at the Lagos University Teaching Hospital

Mrs Adeleke, A. Taiwo
A career principal nursing officer at the University College Hospital, (U.C.H.), Ibadan. Her experience as a nephrology nurse span about 10years at Owena Dialysis Center, (U.C.H.), Ibadan. She had fourteen weeks training with DCI Inc., facilities in U.S.A. in succession, which lasted from 4th September to 5th October 2002 and 20th August – 18th October 2003 respectively. She is married with children
Mr. Emiola, Joseph Olusola
Of the University College Hospital Ibadan, has 10years of experience as dialysis technician. He had six weeks training in DCI facilities between September and October 2004. He is currently a PRINCIPAL TECHNICAL OFFICER 2 in the Biomedical department of the UCH. He is very interested in Renal Dialysis and Transplantation.
Mrs. Jaiyeola, O. Abigail
She is an Assistant Chief Nursing Officer and the head of Owena Dialysis Center, University College Hospital, (U.C.H.), Ibadan. She has about 15 years experience at Owena Dialysis Center, UCH. She is married with children

Has been involved in the care of renal patients since 1984. Currently working in the renal unit of St. Nicholas Hospital, Onikan, Lagos.
Mrs Olufunke Ajibola
A qualified nurse and experienced in the care of renal patients with years of experience at the St. Nicholas Hospital Lagos.
Mr. Emiade, Olugbenga
Of the University College Hospital Ibadan, has 15 years experience as a dialysis technician. His training in DCI lasted from 4th September to 13th October. Currently, he is a FOREMAN in the Biomedical department of the UCH.
